What to Expect
Each session focuses on a key recovery topic. You’ll learn foundational knowledge about addiction and Family Recovery, gain tools for clearer communication and healthy boundaries, and explore practical ways to care for your own well-being.
Sessions are evidence-informed, interactive, and discussion-based with a safe space to reflect, ask questions, and connect with others who understand.
Topics We Cover
Each month, we focus on one of these core topics. The series repeats every six months, so no matter when you join, you’ll have the chance to explore them all.
Understand Addiction - What addiction is and how it affects families
Explore Family Recovery - Making space for your own needs while still caring deeply for your loved one
Nurture Wellbeing - Tools for your well-being
Align With Values - Reconnecting to and operating from what matters most to you
Improve Communication - Learning how to express yourself and listen in ways that reduce conflict
Establish Boundaries - Understanding what boundaries are and how to set them with care and confidence
How it Connects to Family Recovery Meetings
The Learning Series is part of a larger conversation happening across all of PEP programming.
Each month, Family Recovery Meetings focus on the same topic, but in a different way. While the online series offers structured education and tools, the meetings are group discussions with knowledge sharing and peer support. Both are designed to support you in the way that works best for you. You can come to learn, to talk, to listen, or just to feel less alone.
About Our Facilitators
PEP facilitators are trained in addiction, recovery, and skilled group facilitation. They follow a "coach approach," which means they guide rather than direct. Our sessions are participant-led, with space to reflect, share, and connect in ways that feel right for you.
Remember: sessions are FREE. All you have to do is register.
