About PEP Society
Since 2004, Parents Empowering Parents (PEP) Society empowers families who are impacted by a loved one’s addiction through professionally facilitated learning, evidence informed tools and compassionate communities built on both expertise and lived experience.
We exist so that families affected by addiction can move from chaos to calm, misunderstanding to knowledge, and hopelessness to hope. There are many resources for the person struggling with the addiction but limited supports that are evidence informed and professionally facilitated that help the families.
Addiction is a family illness and this can have many negative impacts. We see financial bankruptcy, legal issues, abuse, mental health leaves of absence, marriage breakdowns and social disconnection – so this impacts the home, the workplace and the community.
PEP Society is a registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency (843200270RR0001).
