Lerena Greig (Executive Director) has worked in the non-profit sector for over 13 years, specifically in the field of addiction and recovery. She has presented all over Alberta with her lived experience and advocates for change in the stigma of mental health and addiction. Recently she joined as a Director of the Board for Our House Addiction Recovery Centre and this year has a contracted position as a Recovery facilitator for Recovery College Edmonton.
As Executive Director of Parents Empowering Parents (PEP) Society, Lerena oversees and implements the programs for PEP, hiring and training of the administrative staff and facilitators, while also fulfilling the role of public relations and resource development. In 2020, Lerena was appointed an advisor on a council for a research project for the Alberta Health Ministry and sits at the Leadership Table for Social Framework for Strathcona County along with other committees focused on addictions and mental health. Lerena is passionate about empowering families and individuals to take that step into recovery and break the cycle of addiction.
